2020
The Problem is Real

Mclean identifies a critical gap — Malawian retailers are losing thousands weekly to untracked stock and manual errors. The seed of Zonse247 is planted.

2021
First Build

Ian Mzati joins as technical co-founder. The first version runs on a tablet and handles cash sales for 3 pilot merchants in Lilongwe's Old Town.

2022
Product & Growth

Ian Jangasiya comes on board as Product Manager. Raised seed funding. Launched mobile money integration with TNM Mpamba and Airtel Money.

2023
1,000 Merchants

Crossed 1,000 active merchants. Expanded operations to Blantyre and Mzuzu. Shipped the inventory management and analytics dashboard.

2024 – Now
